Sources & Translation

Last updated: Jul 9, 2026~3 min read
In short

The AI never generates verse or translation text; it only selects from verified sources. Every translation is shown with its source.

01

Our core principle

Trust is the currency we protect most. The AI never generates verse or translation text; it only selects a fitting one from verified sources and briefly explains why.

02

Translation sources

Qur’an text and translation come from the Quran Foundation API and are shown on screen with their source:

Turkish: Diyanet (Presidency of Religious Affairs) translation.
English: widely accepted translations (e.g. Saheeh International).
As new languages are added, sources are updated here.
03

Recitation and audio sources

Audio recitations are provided from licensed or public recordings and labeled with the reciter’s name (e.g. Mishary Alafasy).

04

Tafsir and context

Tafsir, context and occasion-of-revelation notes are summarized from reliable tafsir sources (e.g. Diyanet’s Qur’an Path) and reviewed by scholars.

05

Scholarly review

Feeling → verse pairings, at least the core set, are reviewed by a qualified scholar. The aim is to prevent out-of-context or mistaken guidance.

06

License and caching

Qur’an content is used under the Quran Foundation license and, per that license, is only briefly cached (≤1 week) — never stored permanently. Translation and audio sources are subject to their owners’ rights.

07

Reporting errors

If you spot an error in a translation, source or pairing, please let us know: [email protected]. Your feedback makes the content more trustworthy.
