Privacy Policy

In short

How you feel and what you write belong to you. We don’t sell it or expose it to ads — we use it only to suggest a verse that meets you. Qur’an text and translation are never generated by AI; they are shown verbatim from a verified source.

01

What this policy covers

FeelQuran (“the App”) is operated by Diojen Tech FZ-LLC, registered in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, why and how, when you use the App and related services. By using the App you accept this policy.

02

Anonymous-first use

No account is required. On first launch an anonymous, device-based identity is created. You may optionally sign in with Apple to sync and restore your data across devices.

03

What we collect

Our aim is to run on as little data as possible. We process only what’s needed to provide the experience:

Your inputs and spiritual/emotional content: how you feel (text and voice), mood check-ins, journal notes, saved verses and collections, and your in-app conversations. To personalize your experience, a “memory” of recurring themes is kept. Because this can reflect your emotional state and religious/spiritual interests, it is treated as sensitive.
Purchases / support: if you support us, we receive only your entitlement status via RevenueCat. We never see your card details — payments are handled by Apple or Google.
Usage, device and diagnostics: app interactions, version, device type, operating system, language, time zone, and crash/error reports.
Notifications: if you enable reminders, a push token.
04

How we use data

We use your data only to give you a better spiritual experience: to suggest verses that fit your feelings, personalize via memory, deliver audio and content, manage support/entitlements, send reminders you opt into, keep the App reliable and secure, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising and do not track you across other apps or websites.

05

AI and voice processing

Voice input is converted to text to understand how you feel. The feelings you express are sent to our AI provider (Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service) solely to select a fitting verse and write a gentle explanation.

The AI never generates verse or translation text, and we do not use your content to train third-party public AI models. All secrets and intelligence live on the backend; the app never talks to these services directly.

06

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary data, limited to each provider’s purpose, with:

Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI Service) — AI processing of your inputs.
Quran Foundation — Qur’an text, translation and recitation via API.
RevenueCat — purchase and entitlement management.
PostHog — anonymous product analytics.
Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
Expo — push notifications.
Apple — optional sign-in. Apple / Google — payments.
07

Control over memory and data

You can view and delete your AI memory and journal from within the App. You can request deletion of your account and associated data, and request a copy (export) of your data. Cross-device memory works only when you link an account, with your consent.

08

Retention and security

We keep your data only while you use the App; on account deletion or a valid request we remove it within a reasonable period, unless retention is legally required. Qur’an content is only briefly cached per license, never stored permanently.

We use industry-standard measures including TLS 1.2+ in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, least-privilege access and regular secret rotation. No system is 100% secure.

09

Children’s privacy

FeelQuran is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10

International transfers

We operate servers in the UAE/EU region. Some providers (e.g. Microsoft Azure) may process data in other countries, including the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11

Your rights

Depending on your location (UAE PDPL, EU/UK GDPR, Turkey KVKK) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You can delete your mood journal and memory in-app. Requests: privacy@feelquranapp.com.

12

Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will post the new date here; we announce important changes in the app. Contact: privacy@feelquranapp.com · Diojen Tech FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
